If that is so, we need to comply and use it as a guide to live in this temporal world. The traditional method of explanation is that Allah swt gave the Quran to the Prophet and for us to follow his way. And that the Injeel, Taura, Zaboor are for the earlier generations only. We follow the Prophet's way. Hence, we must accompany Islam with the sayings of Prophet Muhammad purportedly. 6:161 Say: "My Lord has guided me to a straight path, an upright system, the creed of Abraham the monotheist; he was not of the polytheists." Earlier tafsir took this as the 'Qiyam' position in our daily cycle prayers. We start our prayer from the standing position of Prophet Ibrahim (a.s). Ya Al Barr, we seek your forgiveness. We may have thought or did something which might have derailed us to return to You. So forgive us! Remove all our suffering instantly! And give us good happenings!  The word " بَلَاء " (bala)is wrongly translated as affiction, test or trial.  In 7.17 " بَلَاءً حَسَنًا " means good(hasan) happening. Thus "bala" means happening. Likewise the word " وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم " in 2.155. In particular the word " بْلو " ba-laam-wau which means “ happening" by good or evil”. Same with the word "فَتَنَّا" " fatana" which means fascination, attraction etc. in 20.85. And God does not need to test us as God knows our piety since our embryo stage!
