Surah Al-Fatiha

The Noble Prophet Muhammad saws is reported to have said "...by Him Who is in possession of my life, a surah like this one has been revealed neither in the Torah nor in the Bible, nor even in the rest of the Quran.". The satan lamented , wept, and tore his hair out on four occasions : when he was cursed, when he was thrown out of Heaven, when Muhammad saws was given Prophethood, and when Surat al-Fatihah was revealed.

The above two separate stories will suffice for us to take this Surah al-Fatiha very seriously. That is why in a prayer (namaz or salat) it is compulsory to recite this surah. I will advice readers to recite surah al-Fatiha in this manner :

After the first Optional Prayer in prayer recite surah al-Fatiha 14 times with these conditions :

  • Looking towards the direction of prayer
  • Thinking about Allah swt
  • Recite slowly and softly

Try to recite this formula for every prayer and you will reach whatever status you want in this life.

@ Mohammed: Assalam Alaikum (: Just couldn't help but notice this: "I have recited surah alfatiha 14x like u hav sed but only for prayers Maghrib. dhur and Asr.I feel bad becuz i hav no time 4 the other paryers:(."

There's a haddith that's totally calling your name bro:

Abu Hurairah (Raa) Narrated : The Prophet peace be upon him said :
“No Salat (prayer) is heavier (harder) for the hypocrites than the Fajr and the Isha prayers,
but if they knew the reward of these Salat (prayers) at their respective times, they would
certainly present themselves (in the mosques) even if they have to crawl.”

salam brother. can't the fatiha be recited as a form of zikr x14 or more, instead of in optinal prayers? and also how are you supposed to recite fatiha x14 in optional prayer? i thought fatiha could only be recited once followed by another sura? can you please explain in full detail? wassalam
The important is fard prayer. Optional prayer is only optional. However, we cannot treat optional very lightly because Allah swt will not even leave an atom of good deed without rewarding it. The time between optional prayer and fard prayer is very short. For example, in suboh prayers. People normally rush towards fard prayer as it is obligatory after optional.

Please remember Allah swt watching us what we do outside prayer. Are we remembering Him? So if you recite Surah Fatiha after optional prayer the deed gets more marks than you imagine. Normally, after fard prayer we normally doa. So the space for this act come as secondary. Leave this recitation after optional prayer as Allah swt will give plenty even if you do not ask after optional prayer.

I will also like to give some information of what I do in my daily life. 12 years ago I got the opportunity of a book on Islam. Therein I found a story of the Holy Prophet Muhammad saw. It is reported that ‘ Uthman ibn Affan, may Allah be pleased with him, requested further information about Allah’s injunction of the Keys of the Treasure of the Heavens and the Earth (mentioned several times in the Quran). The Prophet saws said to him “You have inquired of me something which nobody has ever asked me befo

Is Time Travelling possible

⚘️It' Friday again. May Allah swt bless and give us goodness in this world and in the hereafter, and grant us Jannathul Firdous.🤲 On the day of Judgement the Prophet will lodge the following complaint. "Then the Messenger will say: "O my Lord! Truly my people took this Qur'an for just foolish nonsense." May Allah swt protect us from this and enable us to read, understand and follow the Quran only. An interesting part in this century is time travelling. We have seen it in movies, you tube and many other social media dramatising this phenomenon. Is time travel possible? Are there any references from the Reading (Quran)? The classic example of going into the future is depicted in 18:25. Its about the seven youth who wanted to safeguard their faith. A notorious King wanted everyone to acknowledge him as god. To this the seven youth ran away and sought God's help in a cave. To protect their faith! "they said: "Our Lord, bring us a mercy from Your
