How to use the pandemic in 2020 to strengthen our relationship with God

The world had seen #diego football, and was mesmerized by his incomparable display of impeccable talent on the field. It was an unforgettable entertainment for many during the #1986worldcup. Was he magnificent? No, this was the #handofGod .

The Lord bestowed different types of talent and skill upon his creation. Without such gift of God, we wouldn't know a person like Maradona. Today, #diegoArmandoMaradona had passed away. The world mourns his death. What we do not realize is the real magnificent, The Magnificent is God Himself.

No one has seen God but there are moments where God displays His Magnificence through someone or thing. The year 2020 have many opportunities for us to see God's Magnificence and His Power.

Remember God

Remembering God is one way to strengthen our relationship with God. However, you must understand one condition before the remembrance. Your remembrance becomes futile if you don't understand this condition.

#customer is King? Yes, its true. Prior to #covid-19 the majority of the working class had been trading hours of work for a mere monthly income. During covid, all the world governments ordered public to stay at home. This was to address rising covid infection. This prevented further spread of this disease. All government compensated the lost of income. Free money. Its a wheel of fortune.

Life was put to a test, and we were and are still suddenly on the same platform. Fear engulfed everyone of us. Our basic necessities are met. The rat race suddenly came to a halt and each one of us have enough time to spend. Media entertainments viewing skyrocketed. Everyone of us busy being free and had been watching television.

But, if you think a little, the time is actually freed for us to ponder about our God. We do not have time to think about Him while we were caught up with the busy schedule in pre covid period.

We adore the Sun, admire the night moon, idolize our celebrities, but we do not ponder over who created all the above?

We know that the sun has had been there suspended in the cosmic felt, giving us light and vitamin D for billions of years. We also know that if the sun is hollow, it takes a million earth to fill up its space!

We know all the information, but we fail to attribute this to our creator? We are living on the bedrock of science. That satisfaction is only temporary. That is why our want gets bigger. 

Real SATISFACTION comes from remembering God.

"those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah" 13.28

There is something wrong in our believe system about God. What is wrong?

Verse 112

"Say : He is Allah

Allah, The Eternal

He begetteth not, nor is He begotten

And there is none like unto Him"

We need to affirm the above concept of God with our hearts. Only then we get satisfaction when we remember God. We can keep going on watching the favorite movie, tv shows and so on. But, we need to make a conscious decision to think about our God : The Magnificent. 

Follow God's Law

Following God's Law is another way to strengthen our relationship with God.

As the #pandemic continues apart from bringing a small fortune to commoners, it also changing the economics. How? 

Capitalism had a long history. The rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. Its all over the globe. The difference is widening. You must participate in the rat race, or just be left out. Oxfam has the data.

Capitalism created competition, and the bait is money. So having much money is considered and confirmed as success. Those who have less are not revered. 

Producers looking at us as only "factors of production". It means we are cost which can be varied. Too costly, we are being replaced with cheaper means. Cost management is a study itself to improve profits. The business only sees profit and loss, not our worth.

Doing more work with the same number of hours is considered productivity. Cost to output. Every individual is not paid according to his worth. This is affecting his disposable income, and the people depended upon it. Elderly are greatly affected.😢

Capitalism created an opportunist to become a businessman. Only in the pursuit of large amount of profit. Only a few have the hunger But, the majority does not. Are they hungry or greedy?

Those who are hungry entraps those who have less. Masters and slaves are born. Its a choice based on current economics. 

The pandemic is bringing the economics to an equilibrium. Demand rules supply. It brought everyone to a standstill. Stay at home rules became a turning point in economics. 

Free money is given from the tills of reserves. A faint tiny heart beat on the demand side. Otherwise, the economy will meet its death.

47:38 Here you are being invited to spend in the cause of God, but some among you turn stingy. And whoever is stingy is only being stingy on himself. And God is the Rich, while you are the poor. And if you turn away, He will substitute another people instead of you, then they will not be like you.

The long term solution lies when our mindset sync to what God has proposed regarding wealth creation. Read this. Injection to the economy. 

Be a Well wisher

Being a well-wisher is another way to strengthen our relationship with God.

At a micro level, each of us has to observe the good side of others. The behavior of others is not what they are. It is because of their shoddy response to a certain situation. They were reactive. They took the path of jealousy and non appreciative. They were Impulsive. A good side of them is noticeable if they have responded well for others.

Likewise, we need to respond very positively and professionally. Look for the one good side on your relationship : family, friends, groups, employer, employee, religions, religious groups, and so on.

"None of you are true believers until you love for your brother what you love for yourself." Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى ٱللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Again, the criteria for believers is mentioned. Failing to use this advice is going be a tedious path to strengthen our relationship with God. Its going to be very difficult. You can be rich and wealthy, but you cannot have the peace and satisfaction as mentioned in 13.28 above.

Conclusion

We have seen how  to use the pandemic in 2020 to strengthen our relationship with God. Remember God much with correct concept of God, follow God's Law and be a well-wisher. 

God is Light. A Light where we cannot see. However, God's light comes through a spaced out perforated filter for us to have a glimpse of Him. 

The passing of Maradona is to remember God only. Be it for any celebrity that you think that they are magical. A hand of God was over him for a while. A dazzling footballer led to rest. The happiness we get while watching his unchallenged football skill is imprinted in our memories for a longer time.
